Natalie – Communications Manager

Natalie, Communications Manager

My name is Natalie Albers and I serve as Crystal D’s communications manager.

I’ve worked as a professional writer and editor for more than two decades, cutting my teeth in local newspapers before shifting to corporate communications. No matter the role, I’ve always derived the most satisfaction from stories that reach people’s hearts and showcase the power of feeling seen, heard, valued and connected. At Crystal D, I aim to help customers understand the importance of recognition, as well as the returns that come along with authentically celebrating people. I love showcasing examples of the unique awards and gifts we’ve helped create for millions of delighted recipients over the past 30 years.

Outside of work, I’m a wife and a mom. My husband and I have three teenage sons, and all the groceries that come along with them! We enjoy volunteering with the various activities our boys are involved in, like hockey, lacrosse, swimming and church. Because I’m an introvert, I savor ever-elusive pockets of downtime, like taking long walks to podcasts that make me laugh and reading books that were popular five years ago (Pro tip: They’re much easier to find at the library!). I’ve never met a taco I didn’t like, but I am a tough salsa critic and a very eager tester.

Something Surprising: I have played and coached ice hockey, but I’m not actually the Hanson brothers’ lesser-known little sister.

Favorite Award: I love the Victory Tower because of its stunning simplicity. The symmetrical bevels and facets refract light and remind me of the brilliance of a diamond.
