Derek – Marketing Manager

My name is Derek, and I’m the marketing manager at Crystal D.

I was born and raised just south of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I have a BA in Communications with a Minor in Sociology from The University of North Dakota. For the last decade I have worked in various content creation, marketing, and lead-generation roles before joining Crystal D in 2025.

In my personal life, I like to spend most of my time with my wife and our pets (two cats and two guinea pigs). We are big movie buffs, and most nights we can be found watching movies to log on our Letterboxd pages.

Something Surprising: I was a Production Assistant on a short film that was selected to screen at the Cannes Film Festival when I was 18 years old.
